I'm currently doing a #33rdsouthfoodtour and this was my first stop. It was very good.I would recommend the tiki masala and the garlic naan. It was not like masala i have ever had because of the Pakastani flair to it. The service was awesome. We met the owner and his son. They have a good thing going on.

I've always got kabob here in the past, until a month ago when the owner's son suggested I try the tikka masala when I said I wanted to try something new. I usually don't order that out because I make pretty good at home, but I'm glad I got it here! It's the best tikka masala I've ever had! It is like a blend of normal sauce and butter chicken sauce and it's FABULOUS! The family who owns and works the restaurant are super friendly and if you want to here some cool stories, talk with the father about his life.

Food is very delicious and affordable. My only reason to give them 4 stars is that we were the only people at the place and ordered 2 sandwiches only to take out.. Took them about 30 minutes to prepare!! Otherwise i like the food and planning to return back when I do't care if my order is to be delayed..

What's the difference between spelling it kebab and spelling it kabob? Truthfully, I don't know. But what's the difference between kebabs here and kebabs in other places? That, I can tell you about. First off, this is in a mini strip mall location on the north side of 3300 South. If memory serves, it may have been a panaderia at one point, and I *think* it was a panaderia that also had a Korean restaurant inside of it. Regardless, the location is unassuming and the decor and interior are not the main draw. In fact, all of the tables are quite large, and circular, so it's actually a bit awkward. Luckily, I was here with a pal and not someone I wanted to cuddle with... with such large tables, you sit quite far from your dining companions. On to the food, which is the real difference. Whereas other places have a few kebabs, these folks have many, served in lots of formats. The plate. The wrap. I mean, at the end of the day there are only so many meats you can put on a stick, but they mix things up. I had a chicken kebab on a plate, served with rice (but you can opt for fries, if you'd like). It's served not in chicken cubes/chunks, but rather the ground chicken formed around a stick, then the stick removed. Despite that, it feels extremely clean, fresh, and the seasoned rice was the perfect side. The owner (?) was there, was attentive, and very nice. You sit and order, but at the end you bring the check up to the counter to pay. We were in and out pretty quickly, despite the fact that it's tableside service. Unless you want to cuddle up close with your dining companion (and let's be honest, sometimes you do and that's all you can really think about, in which case why are you eating out anyways?), then this is probably a great choice.

Add this to places you MUST check out in the Beehive State! I've been wanting to eat here for months, then finally the right taste buds came a knockin' and I hurried on over to Kabob Stop. Tonight, I ordered a Mango Lassi, Garlic Naan, Samosas, and Chicken Tikka Masala. Can I just sum it all up in a few lines? I'll try! -Mango Lassi, viciously good. It was creamy and sweet! Pretty in line with others I've tried. -Garlic Naan was still bubbly while being pulled out of the oven. The garlic itself wasn't too overwhelming and the fluffy consistency is classically unforgettable. A lot of folks have said it is the best Naan in SLC. I will be among those folks and say, ah hell yes it is! -Samosas were perfectly fried and not overpowering in their taste. Always a great pick for veggieheads. Best use of a potato since the French Fry (OMG WHICH CAME FIRST THO?)! -Last but not least, the Chicken Tikka Masala. I am arrested in the flavor! The chicken was super tender, prepared in true Pakistani form and the Rice... Do you see that color? This is as close as it gets to smell-o-vision, cause it tastes as good as it looks. Insanely impressed. Other things: Great atmosphere and dining arrangement. Seems like there are a lot of regulars that know the menu which shows a great following (and a great value, too). Sonia is a great server! She definitely took care of me and even brought a couple sauces to try with the food, which I thought was a nice gesture. With the great menu, seating, halal options, easy location, there's no doubt this felt right at home! I must and will be back!

This place is AMAZING! I decided to stop by and give it a try just because I saw good reviews in Yelp. I try to eat ethnic food and try new places and this is one of the best. The owners very friendly and ready to provide great recommendations from the menu. I tried the chicken Tikka Masala with naan. So goooood! I'll be back soon with my wife to try new things.

I just had Chicken Tikka Masala. And let me tell you;It is DELICIOUS!!! I don't care how many times I have tried it at different restaurants. This place however is the BOMB period. They rocked my tastebuds just right now. Also, try their garlic naan, it's also the best in town. I eat out ALL the time, and this place is the hottest spot in town. That's if you want to rock your tastebuds. MUST try!!!

This place is really, really tasty. I absolutely love the wraps. I've gone with the Chapli wrap both times now and both times it's been excellent. The naan is awesome and the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. I love the mint chutney sauce that you can add to it if you'd like, it makes an already delicious wrap even better. The fries are the standard Crown, Astro, Appollo burger variety; good but not great, but their fry sauce is very good. My buddy had the Tikka Masala and he said that it was very good. From what I've seen thus far, I doubt you can go wrong with anything on the menu. With all of that said I have two bits of advice: 1) clean the stickiness off the sauce bottles. I know that the sticky is just from a sticker that pealed off and not from it being dirty, but it's a turn-off nonetheless. And 2) I would only use servers for the dinner crowd. A $2.00--$3.00 tip at lunch is often the difference maker in whether my co-workers want to frequent a place or not, and I think you might be driving part of your lunch crowd away due to people feeling obligated to leave a tip. Perhaps allowing people to order and pay at the cash register at the same time before the meal (but only for lunch), would better serve this place. Just a thought. All in all, this place is really good and I'm sure to become a regular customer.

This is a nice, family owned business with good, quality food. I live their wraps and dream about their garlic naan.

Friday night date! We came here because the Navaho Hogan was closed early again. Their loss! We found an amazing Pakistani restaurant down the road, thanks to Yelp! The samosas are truly wonderful... No grease, but well cooked and filled. We had lamb kebab wrapped in freshly made naan and a chicken tikka wrap, too. Approximately a 15 minute wait, the waitress said. Fine with us, as its all made after we ordered. Fresh, flavorful, friendly, and a clean restaurant with tasteful decor. Oh, we will be back!

Amazing! I finally found a place that does Chicken Tikka Boti right! Chicken was so flavorful and tender. The basmati rice was perfection, well spiced and excellent texture. I haven't had basmati done so well in years. Cucumber sauce was also great. I called for a togo order and it was ready when I got there. The gentlemen who served me was very kind. I'll probably stop in again tomorrow. Seriously.

I am very impressed with Kabob Stop. I came in on Sunday and ordered two meals to go. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. I felt that the service was prompt and polite. I ordered chicken tikka masala, and it was maybe some of the best I've ever had. I only wish there had been more of it. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the sauce was complex and delicious, with a perfect amount of heat. I ordered spinach and potato curry for my friend, and she made very similar comments about her food as well. Interestingly, at Kabob Stop, you have to make a choice between naan and rice. We both went with naan, and it was great and obviously cooked to order. However, that meant that my meal consisted of sauce and meat, which was a little unusual, but not bad at all. I'd like to go back to Kabob Stop to try a few other items on their menu, particularly the kabobs and the wraps! You can't do much better than this in terms of price or quality.

All was good. The only question I have are the quantities the same for take out around 2p? According to some of the pictures something was off but I was charged the higher prices. Look forward to my next visit. 2 hrs later. We all enjoyed our food. We thought for the price the kabobs could have been longer.

It's nice to know when someone is actually making the food. I can hear the vegetables being chopped and the sauces are made in house. I will definitely be back. I felt like I was invited to dinner in their home and they made the food just for me.

Hubby and I were here visiting and found this family-owned spot on YELP. Our fellow YELP'ers were right...the food was delicious. We had the fried fish (bursting with flavor), Chicken tikka masala-both fluffy with rice, chicken kabobs and garlic naan. The service improved during the meal however the staff didn't appear "happy to see us" when we walked in (to an otherwise empty restaurant) and they were rather nonchalant at first. This was our PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. Hence, the reason for 4 not 5 stars. SERVICE (to us) IS KEY. I must say the fact that they were very accommodating with our requests for extra sides of sauce: cucumber/yogurt; masala---helped some. The food more than made up for the initial service issue!!! I would recommend this spot if you want a different taste experience with a home-cooked feel. It's nap time!

The order was a little slow to come out, but wow really good food, the Kabab meat, the rice, the salad and pita bread, all good, highly recommended.

I really good place to get your Indian food fix for sure. Ordered the chicken tikka masala, of course since it's my go to when trying a new place. It was excellent in every way. The rice had tons of flavor and curry was spot on for flavor. Of course you need to order a side of garlic naan to go with it. It had the perfect crunch with the soft middle. Just how it should taste with plenty on garlic flavor. The service was a bit slow but it was well worth the wait.

This place is awesome. Best indian/Pakistani food I've tried. Check out the leg quarters and the kabobs or ground chicken kabon wrap.

Everything was SO good! I tried the chicken kabob wrap and asked if they could do it spicy for me. I tried the 'standard' and it was delicious. The one with extra hot sauce made my heart sing! They have amazing prices for the quality and there's plenty of it.

We have gone there few times and tried few Pakistani food. They were OK, but there are better choices in the city for Pakistani food. But their sandwiches are very good; especially, we like cheeseburger which has very good price, probably one of the best halal burgers in Salt Lake. Also their beef gyro is very tasty.
